National Service Scheme was started at the University level on 24th Sept. 1969,the year of Mahatma Gandhi’s birth centenary with the aim of creating interest among students for social work. The objective of N.S.S is self dependence, social service and personality development. The aim of National Service Scheme is to go in the villages and offer services to villages in order to improve the quality of their life. The motto of N.S.S is ‘NOT FOR ME BUT FOR YOU’.

N.S.S organized special camp at adopted village Kondha, Tal.Bhadrawati Dist. Chandrapur.N.S.S also organizes National Population Day, Constitution Day, N.S.S Foundation Day, Plantation and Conservation, Blood Donation Camp, Human Right Day, Workshop, On De-Addiction, Birth Anniversary Of Kranti-jyoti Savitribai Phule, Youth Week On Birth Anniversary Of Swami Vivekananda ,Aids Eradication Rally, Non-Violence Rally, National Voters Day, etc.
